Terms of Trade

References to “we”, “us” or “ours” means MoovMe Limited. References to “you” or “your” means the customer using the MoovMe website and the change of address service.

  1. If you choose to use any of the services supplied via our website MoovMe.co.nz, it means you are happy with these terms and conditions and you agree to follow them.
  2. By registering for and using the MoovMe service, you are appointing us as your agent and you agree that we can act on your behalf. We will use the information you give us to notify the companies you choose that you are moving home and that they should, when relevant and instructed by you through MoovMe, update your contact details and transfer your services to your new address on the date specified. Or, if this is not relevant, for whatever reason (you are moving outside the service coverage area, or no longer want to receive these services), that they should cancel your account and if relevant, stop providing services at your address and send you a final bill. We of course won’t cancel any subscription or membership unless you explicitly tell us to.
  3. We will notify the companies you tell us to using the address and contact details and other relevant information you give us. In this way you are ultimately in control of the information that is transferred. In turn you receive the benefit of having a written record of any requests that have been made on your behalf. Information regarding communication to and from your selected companies will also be available on the MoovMe website under your password protected log in details. The information provided to moving companies will be limited too: name, email address, phone number, current address, number of bedrooms, new address and move date. We may also ask, and provide the information form, relevant questions about the amount of property that will need to be shifted.
  4. We will do everything we can to ensure the process is as seamless as possible for you, however unfortunately we can’t guarantee each company will do their part and update their records, mistakes happen from time to time. Any company that provides goods or services to your address, or requires additional verification information will contact you via phone or email to confirm the change of address and/or cancellation and it will be up to you to supply any additional information the company requires. If you rely on the services to be updated (such as Sky, broadband and energy) and have not had confirmation from the company within 48 hours, we recommend you contact them directly through the listed phone number, or by replying to the email. We are not responsible for any problems you may have because another company or organisation did not act on the information we give them. We really hope that never happens and we will always work with you to try and find a solution.
  1. We promise that we won’t use the personal information you give us in any way other than to change your registered address with the companies you tell us to. If we think we can help you save money and take advantage of great offers by our partner businesses, we will only tell you about those with your permission. If you don’t want to receive that information anymore, just tell us and we will stop.
  2. We try our best to ensure that the website and the services and information on it are free of errors. However we can’t guarantee that is the case and your access to the website is provided to you on an “as is” basis, without giving any warranties (express or implied). If you do find an error on the website, please let us know by email and we’ll fix it as soon as possible.
  3. Neither we nor you will be responsible for any damage or loss that we couldn’t have predicted or which is indirect or consequential, like loss of profits or loss of business.
  4. We need to be sure that all the information you give us is accurate and complete. If you don’t give us correct information, you will indemnify us against (so basically pay us back for) any damage, loss or cost we are liable for as a result of that incorrect information. But as long as you only give us correct information, there will never be a problem.   5. We will make sure that we always comply with the requirements of the Privacy Act 1993. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner has some great information for the public on what that means and you can see that information by clicking here. We take your security seriously and will take steps to verify the information you give us is correct and you are who you say you are.
  6. We realise everyone makes mistakes and we will help you deal with that. But if you intentionally give us any information that is incorrect or misleading, we may remove your account and stop you using the service. Sorry about that. So we can be sure of the terms of our relationship, we both agree that these terms and conditions are the only contract between us. Anything else that has been said by either of us won’t be considered part of that contract.
  7. As we are a proud New Zealand company, this contract will be subject to good old New Zealand law.
